Fernando Rojas, is the Senior Partner of the firm. Mr. Rojas joined the firm in 1971. He obtained his law degree in 1967 from the Law School of the Universidad Mayor de San Andres, La Paz, Bolivia. He attended the University of Michigan Law School, U.S.A. and obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Harvard Law School, Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Mr. Rojas was a Professor of Commercial Law and Tax Law at the School of Business Administration of the Universidad Católica Boliviana “San Pablo”, La Paz, Bolivia.
Among some of his published articles are the following: Unified Taxation of Agriculture; How to Do Business in Bolivia; Manual of Corporations and Agency Contract; Comments to Law 843 (Taxation); Aircraft Financing, Registration Security and Compliance in Bolivia; Compliance with Foreign Judgments and Tax Treaties; Hydrocarbons and Mining in Bolivia. Mr. Rojas has also served as a judge in Bolivia, and worked as an intern at Shearman & Sterling, New York.
Mr. Rojas is a consultant and member of the Board of Directors of several local and foreign companies.
He is Honorary Consul of Denmark, Knight of the Order of Dannebrog and was President of the Sovereign Order of Malta in Bolivia.
